Terms of Sale
These terms govern every order placed through this site. They are written to be read, not to be skipped. The short version: we print your canvas to order, we post it worldwide, and because it carries your own names on it we cannot take it back if you change your mind — but anything we get wrong is ours to put right.
1. Who we are
This site is operated by , , registered at . Full details are on the company details page. You can reach us at .
2. What we sell
A fingerprint tree printed on canvas, made to your order. You choose the size, whether it is framed, whether a display easel comes with it, the lettering, the font and up to four ink pad colours. The kit includes the canvas on its wooden stretcher, four water-washable ink pads in your chosen colours, an instruction card for your guests and a small easel to stand it on.
The configurator on this site shows a close preview, not a proof. Screens differ, and inks on canvas do not look exactly like colours on a display. The lettering fonts shown on screen are the nearest web equivalents of the eight numbered fonts on our chart; we print the numbered one you pick. Small variations in colour and in the position of the lettering are part of a printed product and are not a defect.
3. Prices
Prices are shown in euro and include local taxes where they apply. Shipping is added at checkout and shown before you pay.
For deliveries outside the customs territory of the European Union, any import duty, tax or customs handling fee charged on arrival is payable by you, to the carrier or the authorities, on top of what you paid us. We cannot tell you in advance what your country will charge and we cannot declare a parcel at less than its value.
4. How an order is made
Choosing your options and going through to payment is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. We may decline an order — for instance if we cannot produce the personalisation requested, or if the address cannot be served by our carrier — and if we do, we refund you in full.
The personalisation you give us is what we print. Check the spelling of the names, the date and your chosen numbers on the order confirmation. Tell us the same day if something is wrong and we will almost always catch it before it reaches the printer. Once a canvas is printed it cannot be unprinted, and a mistake in the text you supplied is not something we can absorb.
We will not print text that is unlawful, that infringes somebody else's trade mark or copyright, or that is abusive. If we spot it after you have paid, we cancel and refund.
5. Payment
Payment is taken at the time of ordering through Stripe. Your card details are entered on a page hosted by Stripe and never pass through our servers. Depending on your bank you may be asked to confirm the payment in your banking app; this is the strong customer authentication that European rules require.
We start production once payment has cleared.
6. Production and delivery
Production takes two business days. After that, standard delivery takes three to seven business days and express one to three, worldwide. These are estimates from the carrier, not guarantees: customs, weather and public holidays are outside our control.
If you are ordering for a date that cannot move, order with margin and tell us the date — we will say honestly whether it can be done.
Risk passes to you when the parcel is handed to you or to somebody at your address. If a parcel is lost in transit, we chase the carrier and replace the canvas; we do not ask you to do that work.
7. Right of withdrawal
Consumers in the European Union normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance sale without giving a reason. That right does not apply here. Under Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU the right of withdrawal is excluded for goods made to the consumer's specification or clearly personalised, and every canvas we sell carries names, a date and colours chosen by one buyer.
We are telling you this before you order, which is when the law requires it to be said. By ticking the box at checkout you acknowledge that your canvas is made to order and that you lose the right of withdrawal once production starts.
This exclusion covers changing your mind. It does not touch anything in the next section.
8. If something is wrong
You keep every right the law gives you over goods that are faulty, not as described, or damaged on arrival. Nothing in these terms limits the legal guarantee of conformity, and we could not limit it even if we wanted to.
Send us a photograph as soon as the parcel arrives, at . If the canvas is damaged, misprinted, or simply not what you ordered, we replace it at our cost, or refund you if you would rather. We do not ask you to post the damaged one back before we reprint.
Ink pads dry out if they are opened and left open. Use them on the day, and tell us straight away if a pad arrives dry.
9. Using the canvas
The ink pads are water washable and intended for adult and supervised use. Ink can mark clothing and soft furnishings. Put the canvas somewhere with room around it, keep the pads on a tray, and have a cloth nearby.
10. Our liability
We are liable for loss that follows foreseeably from our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, nor for consequential loss connected with an event the canvas was bought for.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
11. Intellectual property
The tree illustration, the photographs and the text on this site are ours. Buying a canvas buys you that canvas. It does not give you the right to reproduce the artwork, resell prints of it, or use our photographs in your own listings.
You keep the rights in the names, dates and any text you send us, and you give us permission to print them on your canvas. Fingerprints left by your guests are yours and your guests' business, not ours — we never see them.
12. Your data
What we collect, why, and how long we keep it is set out in the privacy policy.
13. Complaints and disputes
Write to first. Most things are settled in one message.
If we cannot agree, you may refer the dispute to the consumer mediation or alternative dispute resolution body available in your country, or take the matter to the courts. Nothing in these terms takes away your right to bring proceedings in the country where you live.
14. Changes
We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, and the date at the top of this page tells you which that is.
